The number one thing I try to focus on when creating a strategy for content marketing is who am I speaking to, and what value am I giving over. My goal is always to engage and reengage the same audience with the goal of making them a customer, so I need to make sure that my readers will come back for more every time by giving them more of what they are looking for.
What are some common misconceptions that people may have?
I’d replace the word misconception with “mental hurdles”. Content marketing is a long-term play. Most are aware that after putting out the first article, they really shouldn’t expect to see any difference in sales. But that doesn’t stop them (and by them I also mean me!) to obsessively refresh the page hoping that it went viral and sales goals were crushed. Try to be patient and let your community grow!
